Kismat Konnection' to release on 18th July 2008

Ramesh Taurani's Tips Films, after delivering super hit of the year Race is all set to release its next magnum opus 'Kismat Konnection' on July 18^th 2008. Earlier the date was fixed to eleventh but now the release date has been confirmed and 18 July is the lucky day.

Kismat Konnection starring Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan and directed by esteemed director Aziz Mirza is already being touted in the trade as one of the biggest films to release this year.

Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan are all set to create magic at the box office.

With the winning team of Race behind and the magical combination of Shahid-Vidya to be paired together for the first ever time on celluloid, all eyes are on Kismat Konnection now.

Shahid's new look!

Shahid Kapoor will be opting for a new long haired look for his upcoming project, a musical to be directed by Ken Ghosh for UTV. The music video maker had turned filmmaker with Shahid's debut film, Ishq Vishq and had followed it up by bringing Shahid – Kareena Kapoor together for the first time with Fida .Confirming the news Ken stated that the project is on and Shahid is indeed making changes in his physical appearance. While Ken refuses to divulge any further details, our sources inform us that it is an out and out dance film which will be on the lines of a larger than life Broadway musical. The Jab We Met star is all set to fly abroad to learn different dance styles as well as work on his body to make it look like a trained dancer. He is also sporting a six pack for a dance sequence which will be choreographed by a Hollywood dance specialist.

Shahid Kapoor had first sported long hair for a soap detergent TV commercial way back in 2001. It featured him in two looks – one a long haired one and other in a trimmed look. The actor, post his Jab We Met success, has become extremely choosy and aims to do only one film at a time, a close pal of his revealed to us. "That is why he is taking liberty to experiment with his looks," the friend added.

Presently Shahid is looking forward to the release of Tips films Kismet Konnection opposite Vidya Balan directed by Aziz Mirza. The film is set for a July 11 release!

T Series acquires Chandni Chowk to China music rights

From LA to Mumbai comes the Chandni Chowk to China music tie-up! Or so it seems with Warner Brothers entrusting their film music rights to Bhushan Kumar-helmed T Series.

The youngest music mogul in the country has acquired the music rights of Chandni Chowk to China starring Akshay Kumar, Deepika directed by Nikhil Advani, produced by Mukesh Talreja, Ramesh Sippy and Warner Brothers.The music composition is by Shankar, Ehsaan & Loy..

While the T Series association with Akshay Kumars has been a long-standing one, they have also worked with Nikhil Advani in Salam-E-Ishq and Mukesh Talreja in Tere Naam among others. However, with Warner Brothers, this will be their first venture, with the international company choosing T Series for the music rights tie-up. This is also the first time that T Series is working with Ramesh Sippy.
