Holy Prositute(Book) by Anashwar Chopra written by my father 39 year back….
(1906-1970)

Relished By Sh Deepat Gupta CMD Plaza Cable,Delhi & SSP,Karnal.

Nothing will happen, nor has anything happened so for;
What is to happen does go on happening:
My life is a perpetual Today;
It is forged out of the blood of
Yesterday and Tomorrow.
The guidance of life is life after death,
If die we must, then why live in fear?
When all chances of life have vanished
Why, then be determined on death, but live
The past, which has never come back;
The future, which has never been seen
For then, I may sacrifice my present?
No, that is not possible for me!
– P.L. Chopra “Naseem” (1906-1970)

A man of varied interests, ‘Naseem’ was a member of ‘Karnal Club’ and ‘Bazm-E-Sukhan’. The leading publishers of Delhi published Aaina-e-Dil, is first book Urdu poetry 1961. It was later translated into English under the title “The Minor of Heart”. ‘Naseem’s poetry contains the choicest oriental thought in Pithy and several of his verses on amorous, heroic or philosophical themes have become oft-quoted quotes to illustrate poignant, suspenseful and lifting situation. The devotional element virtually eliminates the dividing like between the mundane and the divine and creates a musical impact. The aroma of the oriental past merges into lifting melody. Its dynamic presence and verses grasp all delicate situations with an unsurpassable thoroughness of simile and metaphors. The verses go very much beyond holding a minor to Nature. They virtually entrap nature at its best and present it in species. Naseem has left behind three sons and three daughters his son, Anashwar, also a lawyer by profession, has inherited his father’s library talent and published four novels in Hindi: Saanjhe Ki Poonji, Adhoora Anindya, Naari Ki Hatya and Naag Kanya. He left behind three grandsons Sh.Vaneet Chopra, Sh.Pratul Chopra and Capt. Ankush (Pilot with Jet Airways.)

An interesting fact about Naseem’s family is that its three generation has been old students of Dyal Singh College , Karnal (Hr) India . As stated earlier, he himself graduated from Dyal Singh College , Lahore whiles his son Anashwar Chopra and grandson Capt. Ankush Chopra, have been products of Dyal Singh College at Karnal. Their name is included in the distinguished Alumni Register of the college. Anashwar Chopra has instituted a trophy in memory of his multifaceted father in Dyal Singh College , Karnal.

Warm regards,
ANASHWAR CHOPRA.
