It was recently reported in the media that Vivek Oberoi was to play a leading role in Prakash Jha's film 'Rajniti' along with Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor and Manoj Bajpai.
But according to Vivek's publicist Dale Bhagwagar, the actor wouldn't be able to participate in the film. 'Indeed, Vivek was offered 'Rajniti' and wanted to do the film too. But since he had already committed the required dates to the Karan Johar production to be directed by Rensil D'Silva (screenwriter of 'Rang De Basanti'), he couldn't be part of 'Rajniti'.'
'However, Vivek has been an admirer of all Prakash Jha movies and is keen to work with the director in future,' added Bhagwagar.
In Rensil's film, Vivek will be starring in the lead along with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

Simple Kaul In Ash's shoes
Simple Kaul aka Pam of popular serial Shararat is playing Ashwariya Rai of Dhoom 2, in UTV's show Sun Yaar Chill Mar. The pretty lass is not just enacting the doe eyed beauty's mannerism but interestingly shares the same screen name "Sunheri" as that of Ash in the movie.
Simple says, "I play Sunehri who is a rich girl and she does things in her own way, basically she is a street smart and full of spunk kind of a girl. She even uses the word "like" that Ash mouthed in every sentence in the movie. At one moment she behaves like a very submissive girl and the very next minute she winks at guys, showing a naughty side of hers," adds Simple.
Looks like Naughty is in and Nice is out for Simple.

Kismat Konnection' to release on 18th July 2008
Ramesh Taurani's Tips Films, after delivering super hit of the year Race is all set to release its next magnum opus 'Kismat Konnection' on July 18th 2008. Earlier the date was fixed to eleventh but now the release date has been confirmed and 18 July is the lucky day.
Kismat Konnection starring Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan and directed by esteemed director Aziz Mirza is already being touted in the trade as one of the biggest films to release this year.
Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan are all set to create magic at the box office.

Shahid Kapoor will be opting for a new long haired look for his upcoming project, a musical to be directed by Ken Ghosh for UTV. The music video maker had turned filmmaker with Shahid's debut film, Ishq Vishq and had followed it up by bringing Shahid – Kareena Kapoor together for the first time with Fida .Confirming the news Ken stated that the project is on and Shahid is indeed making changes in his physical appearance. While Ken refuses to divulge any further details, our sources inform us that it is an out and out dance film which will be on the lines of a larger than life Broadway musical. The Jab We Met star is all set to fly abroad to learn different dance styles as well as work on his body to make it look like a trained dancer. He is also sporting a six pack for a dance sequence which will be choreographed by a Hollywood dance specialist.
Shahid Kapoor had first sported long hair for a soap detergent TV commercial way back in 2001. It featured him in two looks – one a long haired one and other in a trimmed look. The actor, post his Jab We Met success, has become extremely choosy and aims to do only one film at a time, a close pal of his revealed to us. "That is why he is taking liberty to experiment with his looks," the friend added.
Presently Shahid is looking forward to the release of Tips films Kismet Konnection opposite Vidya Balan directed by Aziz Mirza. The film is set for a July 11 release!
